WINE CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Can I select the wine to be included in my shipments?

No, but that's the fun part! Each wine club shipment is carefully curated by our in-house tasters (aka us) and we only include wine that we love to drink ourselves. Each bottle is hand-selected from an authentic, artisanal winemaker that we've personally met and fallen in love with!

As much as we know you'll love the bottles we select, we do allow our members to swap out bottles prior to the shipment date. 10 days before your scheduled shipment, members will receive an email with the bottles included in the upcoming shipment. Members can select to swap bottles from various bottles made available. 


Do your wine clubs offer identical bottles of the same wine or do I get 2, 4, and 6 different bottles?

Our 2 and 4 bottle clubs feature 4 different wine selections. Our 6 bottle clubs will offer 1 or 2 duplicates of wine we are sure you'll enjoy. 


Can I order additional bottles of wine that I received in one of my previous wine shipments?

Absolutely! All of the wines that we curate are available for re-order (pending availability) in our Wine Shop. To receive your 10% member discount, be sure to log-in to your account before purchasing. If there's a wine you really want but aren't seeing, please email info@awinejourney.com with your request and we'll do our best to accommodate!


When will my credit card be charged for my wine club shipments?

Your first AWJ club shipment will be billed immediately upon your initial purchase, followed by a recurring payment on the first of the shipping month. 


When are wine club shipments sent out?

Your first AWJ club shipment will be billed at the time of initial purchase and shipped within 3-5 business days. All future wine club shipments will be shipped on a quarterly schedule between the 5th - 10th of the shipping month. Once an order ships, you'll receive tracking details so that you can plan accordingly. Remember, someone over the age of 21 will need to be home to sign for the delivery. Shipments typically take between 3-10 business days to arrive.


How can I add additional bottles to my next club shipment?

Simply log-in to your account and click "Club Shipment" from the navigation on the left. From here, you'll see all of the wines included in your next wine shipment and can add as many additional bottles to this delivery as you'd like!


As a wine club member, am I able to pause or skip a future shipment?

Yes, anytime! To pause or skip a future wine club shipment, simply email us at info@awinejourney.com or call (951) 595-7105 and we're happy to make that adjustment for you.


Am I able to change to a different club (i.e. Red to Journey Club) and adjust the frequency or number of bottles in my shipment?

Of course! Whatever the reason, you're welcome to do so by emailing us at info@awinejourney.com or call (951) 595-7105 and we're happy to make these changes for you.


How do I update my shipping address, bill address, or credit card information?

You may update this information by logging in and adjusting your account settings. You can update all personal details of your account including shipping, billing, and credit card information. You may also contact us at info@awinejourney.com or call (951) 595-7105 and we're happy to help!


Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes you certainly can, there is no commitment! Most of the time, AWJ members just need a temporary break... perhaps you'll be vacationing or maybe you just have too much wine piling up and need a rest. In this case, we're happy to pause or skip a shipment at any time. Whatever the case may be, you may pause, skip or even cancel your membership anytime by emailing us at info@awinejourney.com or call (951) 595-7105 and we're happy to help!


SHIPPING

What states do you ship to? Will there be additional states added to this list in the future?

Laws regarding the sale and distribution of alcohol are different in every state and constantly changing.  For now, we are only shipping within the state of California but we will be expanding to additional states very soon. 


Does someone over the age of 21 have to sign for the wine delivery?

Yes! The delivery carrier will require a signature from an adult 21 years of age or older in order to make the delivery. If you are not able to sign for your wine club shipments, we strongly suggest having your shipments sent to an office or business address where an adult 21 years of age or older can sign for the delivery. The mail carrier typically makes three attempts to deliver the shipment before returning the package to us. 


Help, I missed my delivery... what do I do?

Our shipping carriers will typically attempt delivery of your package on three consecutive business days. So, if you've missed one or two deliveries, there is still hope! If, however, you have missed all three delivery attempts, contact us ASAP at info@awinejourney.com or (951) 595-7105 with your order number. If the package hasn't already been sent back to us, we can try our best to work with the shipping carrier to redeliver.  Unfortunately, if your shipment failed to deliver and has been sent back to us, the only option we have is to reship the order, which will incur additional reshipping fees.


How long will it take to receive my shipment?

Bottle sales from our Wine Shop are shipped within 2-3 business days. Once an order is shipped, you'll receive tracking details so that you can plan accordingly. Remember, someone over the age of 21 will need to be home to sign for the delivery. Shipments typically take between 2-10 business days to arrive. Additionally, UPS offers a free tool called "UPS My Choice" which allows you to precisely track your shipments which we highly recommend!


GENERAL

What if I don't like the wine I received?

Here at AWJ, we're all about discovery.  We know not every wine is going to be your absolute favorite, but we're confident you're going to discover something special about each bottle we include in our shipments.  That being said, if you get a bottle that is particularly undrinkable or possibly corked, let us know and we'll be sure to take care of you. Email us at info@awinejourney.com or call (951) 595-7105 and be sure to reference your order number.


How do e-gift cards work?

When you purchase a e-gift card, please select "gift this item" and enter the gift message, the date the e-gift card should be delivered and the recipient's email address. The recipient will receive a gift card code via email on the date you select. The 12-digit code can be used to purchase bottles from our wine shop or prepaid membership gifts from A Wine Journey! You can apply the code at checkout by selecting 'Use Gift Card to check out' in the payment section.
